The U.S. Volkswagen and Audi Diesel Emissions Settlements have been approved by the court. Eligible current and former owners and lessees of Volkswagen or Audi 2.0L Diesel can now complete their claim registration process or continue if they've already pre-registered.
Eligible owners may choose to have their vehicle bought back by Volkswagen Group of America Inc. Current lessees who hold a lease directly from Volkswagen Credit Inc. or Audi Financial Services may elect to terminate their leases without an early termination fee.
All current owners and lessees may also choose to keep their vehicle and have a modification performed on the emissions system of their affected vehicle, if the modifications are approved by EPA/CARB. Some former owners and lessees may be eligible for a cash payment.
Please visit Volkswagen/Audi Diesel Emissions Settlement Program for more information and to register.

A federal judge gave preliminary approval to a deal that includes an option for owners to have Volkswagen buy back their vehicles. This decision allows attorneys to notify vehicle owners of the terms. Another hearing is set for October regarding the proposed settlement and final steps for owners.

Volkswagen and Audi have reached proposed settlement agreements regarding 2.0L TDI diesel engine vehicles in the United States.
Now that the proposed agreements have been filed with the Court, the next step will be for the Court to consider granting preliminary approval to the settlement program in late July. After that time, more information regarding timing and customer next steps will be available.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled July 26, 2016 to review the proposed Settlements. At that time, owners will be notified of the next steps to take regarding a buyback or modifications to their vehicle.

In April, U.S. District Court Judge Charles Breyer, who presides over the Multi-District Litigation proceedings in San Francisco, announced that U.S. government agencies, regulators and the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee had reached certain agreements in principle to resolve 2.0L TDI emissions matters. The Court had previously ordered the parties to file those proposed agreements on June 21.
Given the highly technical nature of the proposed settlements in these complex proceedings, the Court has given the parties an additional week until 12pm PST on June 28 to submit the associated documents to the Court.

Larry H. Miller Volkswagen customer review:
We all have seen the VW diesel issues in the news...
I decided to trade in my diesel Jetta for a gas Passat, great move! I love the Passat, its a great car and Larry Miller VW took great care of me and made a great deal.
Corporate VW is having issues with Diesel cars, I still believe in VW and still love the cars. I took this opportunity to support my VW dealer Larry Miller. Larry Miller VW is a local dealer, not VW corporate, I dont believe that the local businesses should suffer due to something going on at a corporate level.
Larry Miller VW gave me a great deal on a better car and lowered my monthly payment!
I can ask for any more than that.
