Weekend Warrior: Erin
I recently traded my 2014 Volkswagen Beetle for a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan
Wolfsburg and immediately planned some road trip adventures. While the Beetle was a fun (and zippy) car to drive around Denver, I was looking for a vehicle that could fit all my ski and snowboard equipment, camping gear, and all the supplies needed for long road trips.
This is my first SUV and I was excited to break it in on a 2,600-mile road trip through five states (CO, UT, NV, AZ & CA) with stops at four National Parks (Bryce Canyon, Zion, Joshua Tree and Arches). The panoramic sunroof offered an extra view of the mountains while the touchscreen sound system and Apple CarPlay navigated the roads and kept me entertained with music. The 12-way power adjustable driver's seat also provided much-needed comfort on the very long drive! Plus, the Tiguan's 6.9-in. ground clearance offers room for driving in the snow while the 2.0L turbo engine provides a much-needed boost of power through the mountains. As a driver of small cars and sedans for 20 years, I've been pleasantly surprised by the Volkswagen Tiguan. Now that I've found my Weekend Warrior vehicle, it's time to start planning the next journey!
